The Super Eagles of Nigeria have commenced intensive preparation ahead of the team opening fixture against Burundi in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations slated for June 21.
After playing a goalless draw against Zimbabwe at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Saturday in an international friendly game, the team departed Nigeria on Sunday morning and arrived Ismailia in the evening.
With the 23-man squad already been named on Sunday by Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, the team is expected to play Tarenga Lions of Senegal on June 16 in pre-warm up match.
The day after the clash with Senegal, the Super Eagles’ delegation will move to Alexandria, venue of their Group B games. They take on Burundi on June 22, tackle Guinea on June 26 and confront Madagascar on June 30.
