Actor, Nick Cannon Announces Death Of Last Child, Zen

Published

American actor and TV personality, Nick Cannon has announced that his youngest child, Zen, is dead.

The actor made the announcement on The Nick Cannon Show, and further revealed that 5-month-old Zen died of brain cancer.

Cannon and Alyssa Scott welcomed Zen back in June, making him Cannon’s seventh child. On his show, the father of seven tearfully shared how he and his family discovered Zen was battling Hydrocephalus, a form of brain cancer.

He said; “I always noticed he had a cough and so I wanted to check it out. He had this interesting breathing and by the time he was two months I noticed he had this nice sized head too — a Cannon head. We didn’t think anything of it. But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine.”

The family soon discovered it wasn’t going to be a routine visit as Zen had fluid building in his head and it was a malignant tumor. The baby had brain surgery and a shunt to drain the fluid. Things however took a turn for the worse at Thanksgiving.

Cannon added; “This weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen. We woke up on Sunday and went to the ocean with him and Alyssa and then I had to fly back to New York for the show,” he shared, breaking down in tears. “I got a call on my way to the airport to head back to Zen.”

The TV personality tearfully revealed he held his son for the last time this weekend. “You can’t heal until you feel,” he told the audience, adding that he’s at work so soon after because this is all he knows, calling the episode a “celebration of life” for Zen.

Zen was the 4th of Nick’s kids born in the last year and a half, twins Zillion and Zion were born in June and his daughter, Powerful, last December.

Dowen College: “Sylvester’ Oromoni’s Blood Is On Us All,” Pretty Mike Reacts

Published

on

Pretty Mike has said we all as citizens failed Sylvester Oromoni, the young schoolboy who died after allegedly being beaten up by seniors at school.

The socialite said Nigerians are all expressing outrage now and calling out bullies, but all citizens had a part to play in Sylvester’s death.

He said the hospital took too long to diagnose and treat Sylvester and he blamed our health care system.

He blamed parents who buy violent video games for their kids and also people who bully others in the presence of their kids.

He also called out parents who let their kids watch wrestling matches.

He said the entire society had a part to play in the death of Sylvester and the child’s blood is “on us all”.

Pretty Mike added that he hopes the call for justice for Sylvester will not end with just a hashtag, the same way the call for justice for Uwa and other victims of injustice has been forgotten.
