Blind Makes Emotional Comeback For Ajax After Heart Surgery

Former Manchester United star Daley Blind made an emotional comeback for Ajax last night, little over two months after undergoing heart surgery.

Blind was recently diagnosed with Myocarditis and was fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, a device that sends electrical pulses to regulate abnormal heart rhythm.

The 29-year-old successfully passed rigorous testing from the medical staff at Ajax and returned to the pitch last night in the 77th minute of the KNVB Cup quarter finals, which saw his team thrash Vitesse 6-0, Blind said: ‘I’m really happy to be back on the pitch. It was heavy period because you don’t know what is coming or which news you will get, but luckily it didn’t take long for everything to look good. I have been positive most of the time and was busy with my return.

‘I had a little bit of tension beforehand because you don’t know how it will go. ‘The doctor really needed to hold me back and step on the brakes because I wanted to get back as soon as possible. ‘I wasn’t scared at all, I wanted to get back on the pitch as fast as possible.

Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, has named Bayern Munich as the toughest team he has ever played against

Haaland has faced off against some of the world’s best teams in his career for both clubs and country so far.

But the 21-year-old insisted that he has never won against Bayern Munich, adding that he has lost seven times against the Bundesliga champions.

“I never won against Bayern Munich, so I probably have to say Bayern,” Haaland told ESPN when asked to name the toughest team he has played against.

“I think I played six times against them, six or seven times, I lost every game,” the Norway international added.

The Evening Standard reports that Turner is now set to arrive at Emirates in the summer of 2022.

The Major League Soccer club will also receive a ten percent sell-on percentage of any future transfer fee for the 27-year-old shot-stopper.

Meanwhile, Everton has their eye on an ambitious move for Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

According to Daily Mail, Everton’s interest will be knocked back with Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, not prepared to let the England international leave.
