Breaking: Nigeria’s Super Falcons Revive World Cup Campaign, Beat South Korea 2-0

Nigeria’s Super Falcons bounced back to winning ways by beating South Korea 2-0 in its second fixture of the 2019 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup at the Stade des Alpes on Wednesday.

An own goal from South Korea’s Kim Doyeon in the 29th minute gave the Nigerian side the lead before Asisat Oshoala netted the assurance goal with a sublime finish in the 75th minute.

The Super Falcons will next face host, France on Monday June 17, in its last group A fixture, needing just a draw to qualify while hoping that South Korea would pick a point against Norway.
