Comedian Okey Bakassi Blasts MC Oluomo For Claiming Igbo Are Responsible For Selling Tinubu Stickers In Lagos Parks

Published

Veteran Nollywood actor, Okey Onyebule better known as Okey Bakassi has tackled Musiliu Akinsanya, alias MC Oluomo, who is the chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garage Management Committee for suggesting that either the Igbo or the PDP may be responsible for selling stickers to commercial drivers and riders to fund Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

It would be recalled that a resident in Ikorodu, Halimat Rufai, had a shared a video showing some touts forcing tricycle operators to purchase Tinubu’s campaign stickers for N500.

She explained that the tricycle operators usually were forced to pay for the stickers, a development that is currently generating confirmation on social media.

But reacting to the video, Mr Akinsanya said it was either the Igbo or the PDP who are responsible for the ticket sales to discredit Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC.

He urged his supporters to hand over violators to the police after beating them.

“Whether it is you, the Igbos who are devising these means or opposition PDP, don’t give us bad names,” he said in Yoruba Language in the video shared by Punch.

“Anywhere you see something like that, beat them and take (them) to (the police) station. Anyone you see selling such stickers in the name of park and garages, arrest them and call my number.”

He added, “By the grace of God, Tinubu owns the presidency, and there is nothing enemies can do.”

Reacting to this Okey Bakassi wondered why MC Oluomo would drag Igbos into the drama.

Commenting on an Instagram blog post, the father of three wrote: “Why drag Igbos into every problems in Nigeria? The hate is unnecessary and it’s becoming boring.”

The CEO of ROK Studios and founder of the ROK TV Channels, Mary Remmy Njoku, has taken to her Instagram to point out what is perhaps incomprehensible to her.

In Mary Remmy Njoku’s view, money is the lowest gift a woman can receive from her boyfriend.

The Nollywood actress and director continued by saying that she is unbothered even if some people disagree with her.

She wrote;

“The cheapest thing your boyfriend can give to you is MONEY.

“Only ladies who don’t think with their ‘rent’ and the latest ‘iPhone’ will understand this.

“If you think I am wrong. Fine.”

Several weeks ago, Mary Remmy Njoku posited that she will like to still be a Nigerian if life is giving her another chance.

Mary stated that even though Nigeria breaks her heart with all the happenings going on but she won’t choose to be in any other country than Nigeria in her “next life”. Meanwhile, she expressed immense hope that the country will surely get better one day.

Her assertion however evoked some mixed reactions from social media users. Ghgossip culled some reactions below;

prince_igho_ wrote; Let’s all stop this hypocrisy. U don’t pray for your kids to end up as Nigerians. Everyone is fighting to give their children dual citizenship of a reasonable country and here you are spilling lies about your next life? 😢…

Published

Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has said that he is mostly misunderstood due to his reserved nature.

Burna said his personality keeps being misunderstood by many because he chose not to let people know much about his personality.

He said this in a recent interview with international media outlet Dazed, on a visit to the Caribbean Island.

“I tend to be misunderstood and the reason is that I have never really given anyone a chance to know who I am, and that’s what I tried to do,” said Burna Boy.

He, however, noted that his recent album Love, Damini offers a more graceful window into his mind.

“I tried to use this album to allow people to get closer to me”, he said.

The Grammy award winner also shared his take on End Sars.

He said: “My thoughts don’t matter on SARS. I’m not going to encourage young people to lose their lives anymore. When something is ready to happen, it will happen. With understanding comes readiness for action.”
