Former Super Eagles Defender, Taye Taiwo Completes Move To Doxa Katokopias In Cyprus

Former Super Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo has completed a move to Cypriot top-flight side, Doxa Katokopias FC on a free transfer.

The former Marseille defender, who is expected to wear jersey number 33, said that he’s delighted to join the club.

Taiye Taiwo was part of the Dream Team squad that won silver medal in the Men’s football of the 2008 Olympic Games.

Sharing photos of himself posing with the club jersey,Taye wrote: ‘Thanks God. Enjoy every moment of football God bless.’

This will be Taiwo’s eleventh club after playing for Marseille, Milan, Queens Park Rangers, Dynamo Kyiv, Bursaspor, HJK Helsinki, Lausanne, AFC Eskilstuna, and RoPS.

He also made 54 appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and scored eight goals.
