Man United Keen To Sign Sesko

Manchester United are willing to meet Red Bull Salzburg’s £41.8 million asking price for Benjamin Sesko, according to Sport.

Sesko, 19, has emerged as a priority target for Man United manager Erik ten Hag late in the transfer window.

Man United chief, John Murtough recently jetted out for talks with the player’s agent as he is eager to deliver a fourth signing for Ten Hag before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.

Man United are set to go into Sunday’s Premier League opener with Brighton short on firepower.

Edinson Cavani has left Old Trafford, Mason Greenwood remains unavailable and Anthony Martial has picked an injury that rules him out of the Brighton clash.

Man United have also been linked with Sesko at a time when Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is up in the air, with the Portugal captain eager to join a team who can offer him Champions League football this season.

Guti Advises Ronaldo To Join Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid legend, Guti, has backed Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo to join Atletico Madrid this summer.

Guti said Ronaldo would be a good fit for Diego Simeone’s side, adding that Atletico Madrid is a great team.

Ronaldo is keen to leave Man United after they failed to qualify for this season’s Champions League.

The Portugal captain has been linked with Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is said to have already offered the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to Atletico Madrid.

But Guti believes this would be a great move for both parties as they will complement each other.

He told DAZN: “If in this case, he decides to come to Atletico Madrid, why not? It’s a great team, he is a great striker. Atletico Madrid needs a good striker and why not? I think it would be a good pairing.”

Guti added, “It would be strange, because Madrid loves him so much because he’s a very loved player. I think that the Real Madrid fans wouldn’t mind. I think that everything Cristiano had to give to Real Madrid, he already gave. If he feels happy being able to play in a great team like Atletico and in the Spanish league, which I think he wants, why not?”

Why I Struggled At Chelsea, Lukaku Opens Up

Former Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, has suggested that he struggled during his time at the club last season because he wanted to take ‘revenge’ on the west London club.

Lukaku stated this while opening up on his below-par debut campaign at his parent club Chelsea last season, claiming it was a difficult one for him.

The Belgium international, who returned to Chelsea on a club-record deal worth £97.5 million, is now back at Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal.

The former Manchester United star scored 64 goals during his two-season stint with Inter, winning the 2020-2021 Serie A title.

Speaking to DAZN (via Football Italia), Lukaku shed light on what went wrong after his move to Chelsea last summer.

The 29-year-old said, “I think before, when I left [Chelsea], I wanted to take revenge at Chelsea because when I was young, it was my team for eleven years. I had the opportunity to go back there and thought I would be a hero, but that was not the case. In March, when I heard there was an opportunity to come back here [Inter], I slowly didn’t say anything, but towards the end of the season, we did a very good job with the club. and I was able to come back here.”

Lukaku added: “I make reflections only at the end of the season. I saw that as a player with Inter, I did well; the season at Chelsea for me was difficult. I had no doubts; that is why I made the decision to come back here.”
