Mourinho Faces Sack As Tottenham Shortlist RB Leipzig Manager, Naglesmann

Published

Tottenham Hotspur will target Julian Naglesmann should they move on from Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese will be given an opportunity to stop Tottenham’s slide down the Premier League table.

But should he fail to do so, The Telegraph says Spurs will look at recruiting RB Leipzig manager Naglesmann.

The German’s reputation has grown in recent years, having steered Leipzig to the Champions League semi-finals last season.

Mourinho reportedly has 12 days to turn things around after five defeats in six matches.

The north London outfit play Wolfsberger, Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace over the next 12 days.

Arsenal Can Still Win EPL Title -Xhaka

Published

on

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, Granit Xhaka, has maintained that Arsenal can still win the Premier League title.

The Gunners go into the last five fixtures in second place, two points behind Manchester City on the log.

Xhaka has sent a message to his former teammates as they seek to go one better than last season.

“This is part of the game, I think it was 10 or 11 games unbeaten. When you lose one game, it doesn’t mean you lost everything already,” Xhaka said according to the UK Mirror.

“There are six games left in the Premier League and there is still a big chance to get the Premier League title.

“Can Arsenal win the title? They are very close this year as well like it was last year but football is about small details. I hope they can do it.

Mbappé Reminds Me Of Ronaldo – Casemiro

Published

on

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has compared Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe to Al-Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Brazilian believes that Mbappe is hungry for goals, very much like the former Portugal captain.

Speaking to El Chiringuito TV, Casemiro said that opposition players have to be worried when playing against the France captain because he almost guarantees a goal in every match he plays.

“Mbappé reminds me of Cristiano. He’s on the field, he’s smelling a goal,” Casemiro said.

“You have to be worried with this guy because he will score a goal. Cristiano was like that.”

El Clasico Has Gone Down Because Of Barcelona – Ozil

Published

on

Former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil has claimed that El Clasico has gone down because of Barcelona.

Ozil said this ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga El Clasico with Barcelona on Sunday.

Speaking with Marca, the former Arsenal star said Barcelona have lost potential.

“At that time, it was the most important match in world football. Unfortunately for us, Pep’s Barça was perhaps the best Barça in history. It was at another level, certainly different from today’s Barça,” Ozil said.

“I think that right now worldwide attention is more focused on games like Liverpool-Manchester City or other Premier League duels. Here, I think the Clásico has gone down and that’s a shame.”

Ozil added: “But that’s not Real Madrid’s fault, as they are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the world. The problem is Barça, who have lost potential. Barcelona are struggling; they are trying. They have good players in all positions, but they have had too many injuries this season and maybe they should look a bit more at themselves and their mistakes and stop complaining about the referees all the time.”
