…APC Expresses Sadness Over His Death
The kidnapped chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Philip Shekwo, has been found dead.
His lifeless body was found a meter away from his house a few minutes ago.
The chairman of Karu local government, Samuel Akala, also confirmed the death on his Facebook page.
Also, former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani confirmed the death of Shekwo via his official twitter handle.
“My condolences to the Government and People of Nasarawa state over the gruesome murder the APC chairman Mr Philip Shekwo by kidnappers.May his gentle soul Rest In Peace,Amen.”
Governor Abdullahi Sule; the speaker of the state house of Assembly, Senator Tanko Al-Makura; the state commissioner of police, Abdullahi-Balarabe Ibrahim and party faithful are now at the home of the slain party chairman.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Dele Longe, confirmed his kidnap earlier on Sunday.
Meanwhile, APC has expressed sadness over the murder of one of its chairmen in Nasarawa, Philip Shekwo
Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, in a statement, said it was “a dark day for the APC family”.
The party condoled with Shekwo’s family, Governor Abdullahi Sule, the State Working Committee, members and supporters.
APC prayed God to give all that grieves the strength to bear the loss and grant Shekwo eternal rest.
Nabena urged the police and other security agencies to “fish out the sponsors and perpetrators of the evil, heinous and barbaric crime”.
