Security Summit: Buhari To Depart For Ouagadougou Friday

President Muhammadu Buhari and Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, will be in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, for the ECOWAS Extraordinary Terrorism Summit holding Friday, 13th to Saturday, Sunday 14th September, 2019.

Buhari Other state governors in the President’s entourage are Dapo Abiodun of Ogun and Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger, as well as the Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and Defence, Major General Magashi.

The two day summit is designed to develop more proactive approaches in the coordination of the fight against terrorism and inter community clashes. , is sequel to a preparatory meeting held earlier in Niamey, Niger Republic and a joint meeting of Chiefs of Defence Staff, Chiefs of Security and Intelligence Services on Counter Terrorism.
