Published

on

Actress, Lisa Awuku otherwise called Obaaya has spoken to DGN online where she spoke about her career as an actress and how far she can go with script interpretation.

Speaking candidly, the Ghanaian thespian opined that she can play any role but not the one that would put her goodies on display.

“Honestly I’d love to play every role. But I would want either a badass lawyer winning every case or a superhero like in the Marvel movies. I’d love to play every role except acting nude,” she told DGN Online on Friday

“I think I want a lawyer because I watch too many law movies and I am just interested. I just want to experience it and then the superhero because of the whole training and experience and you know, not seeing how it looks like until you have to sit back and watch yourself and you are like wow this is nice,” she added.

The 21-year-old actress started acting at a very tender age on stage in her primary school days before she joined the movie industry in 2010.

Her first major movie was Enemy Within by Venus Films but her second movie: “Losing You” was the first to be released.

Her other recognized films are Beasts of No Nation as well as the 2013 & 2016 films; House of Gold and Ghana Must Go, which were produced by Yvonne Nelson & Yvonne Okoro respectively.

Ned Nwoko: High Court Grants Jaruma Bail, Warns Case Against Her Not Over

Published

on

A High Court in Abuja has granted social media influencer and aphrodisiac entrepreneur, Hauwa Saidu, also known as Jaruma bail.

Jaruma was arrested and remanded in prison for alleged defamation and false publication against billionaire, Ned Nwoko.

Nwoko had accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and his wife, Regina Daniels.

Justice Ismaila Abdullahi on Friday, ruling on Jaruma’s bail application noted that her remand should not be seen as a punishment to the defendant.

The Judge warned all parties involved in the matter to refrain from actions that could be considered prejudicial to the case.

Judge Abdullahi said, “The court did not remand Jaruma in custody as a punitive means to penalise the defendant but to make her present and answer to her case. By this, I shall be quick to point out that the charge against the defendant is bailable but not ordinary.

“I hereby grant her bail on the following conditions: That the surety must be a level 12 civil servant working within the Federal Capital Territory.”

Judge Abdullahi further adjourned the case till February 23 for a hearing.

American singer Chris Brown has been sued for allegedly raping a woman in a yacht.⁣

According to TMZ, the suit was filed by a choreographer, dancer, and musician identified only as Jane Doe.⁣

She is suing the music star for $20M, this is according to her lawyer.⁣

According to the suit, Brown invited Doe to music star P Diddy’s home on Miami’s Star Island.⁣

Doe in the suit claimed that she and Brown were on a yacht in the area and that Brown offered her a drink.⁣
