The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Southwest Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye, has confirmed that two bodies have been recovered and 10 people rescued after a three-storeyed building collapsed in Lagos.
The incident which occurred at number 20 Freeman Street in Lagos Island on Saturday Morning, appeared to have trapped many occupants of the building.
According to him: “Nine to 10 people are believed to be living in the building.
“Efforts are on to rescue the remaining people,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, National Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning, and Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) are already at the scene of the incident.
